This historical group has mineral and coagulated poison as its life. The corresponding mortification paragraph names transformation into oil or liquor and fixation. The grouping is important because poisonousness is not treated simply as absence of life: here it is explicitly the life-bearing description. The list preserves several names whose historical relationships should not be flattened into one modern chemical identity.
