The text says metals hate one another through innate nature and describes Lead’s hostility to Gold as inborn. These adjectives make the relation intrinsic within the speaker’s explanation, rather than an accidental response in one trial. The same vocabulary of innate nature also appears in the hostile account of monsters. The claimed innate force in materials is distinct from the invalid judgments about people, despite the shared causal language.
