- veins
Meaning
Form.
The printed genitive plural belongs to the normalized lemma vena. It occurs in the separate closing quotation headed Job 28, where silver has the sources of its veins and gold a place of smelting. The biblical voice is not the anonymous author’s independent geological observation or Neptune’s instruction. The juxtaposition supplies a scriptural mining image at the close of the work.
