Alsted’s 1611 commendatory epigram names God, nature and art as a threefold team pleasing to the anonymous Lesches. The figure commends the work’s theological and practical alignment, but it is the epigrammatist’s formulation and should not be quoted as a definition directly spoken in the 1606 treatises.
