In the parable a large figure whose forehead bears Saturn’s name explains the water and solar fruit. Saturnus
The initially unseen voice identifies himself as judge and governor of the prisons.
- English renderings
- Saturn
Meaning
Lemma.
The initially unseen voice identifies himself as judge and governor of the prisons. He says sulphur is held in his prisons but has other guards. Saturn then becomes the alchemist’s guide and dream collaborator, often answering with irony. His mythological and metallic associations may be familiar, but this section’s explicit office and speech should take priority over a blanket substitution of lead for every occurrence.
