Meaning
Law names the invariant order governing manifestations. Principle names a general truth through which that order is described and applied. The source sometimes uses the terms closely together, while distinguishing Law as a whole from particular laws.
Use in the book
II announces seven principles and gives cause and effect an explicitly universal scope. V says that THE ALL is above law in itself, but acts according to law when manifesting on the plane of creation. VI makes this distinction a safeguard against denying ordinary consequences.
XII places every finite being within causation. XV describes the art of using one lawful influence to counterbalance another. Even a master who rules on one level serves on a higher level; unlimited exemption is reserved to no finite practitioner.

In this edition
Capitals, singulars, and plurals are preserved. LAW in an ultimate summary is not made equivalent to a particular law of physical science.
Reading the argument
Use Law against laws is therefore not a simple contradiction. It describes the interaction or hierarchy of lawful influences. Whether the particular higher influence asserted by the author is demonstrated is a separate question from this internal meaning.
