Historical definition
Nasda, or Natta, is a lump in the back.
Meaning
The old word bunch is modernised as lump. The anatomical location is the identifying detail; the entry does not describe tissue, colour, cause or a course of development.
Use in the book
Nodi similarly names hard tumours, but locates them at the joints. Retaining these differences prevents the reader from converting every short swelling-name into a single undifferentiated condition.
