Historical definition

Mustus is the white calx in urine.

Meaning

The dictionary gives a bodily location and a colour, together with the technical category calx. It does not use Mustus here simply for the familiar beverage-name a reader may expect. Nor does it explain whether the material has undergone a separate artificial calcination.

Use in the book

Sal crystallinum is a salt made from human urine. The shared source gives a useful comparison, but Mustus names a calx in urine, whereas the salt entry explicitly names something made from it.
