Historical definition
Diatessadelton is precipitated Mercury.
Meaning
The qualifier identifies a prepared condition. The entry does not merely say Mercury, and the word precipitated should therefore remain visible. It gives no material used in the preparation or further account of the resulting substance.
Use in the book
Mercurius metallorum præcipitatus describes Mercury extracted from metals and precipitated. Turbith minerale is Mercury precipitated into a sweetness without a corrosive. Those added conditions belong to their own entries. They help explain why the brief Diatessadelton gloss does not by itself identify every precipitated mercurial preparation.
