- sophistical processes, false process, deceiver, tinging, Sophistical processes.
Meaning
The later Sebastian narrative alleges that some possessors of the tincture could perform tinging yet deceived others with false processes. A displayed success and a reliable transferable procedure are therefore different things even within the story’s own assumptions. The same evaluative family appears earlier when the discourse condemns elaborate spirit-of-wine practice as sophistical. The word marks deceptive or misdirected art, while the particular accusation against named individuals remains the narrative’s allegation. It should not be repeated as independently proven historical guilt.
