English renderings
properly, proper naming.

Meaning

Properly, as distinct from merely commonly. The title says that regenerated salt is commonly and properly called the philosophers’ stone. The closing naming statement repeats the force in the spelling eigentlich. This word qualifies the name of the accomplished object; it does not assert that every preliminary salt or philosophers’ mercury is already the stone. The two spellings are retained as printed forms rather than treated as different doctrines.
