process peddlers.

Meaning

Peddlers of processes are sellers or purveyors of promised alchemical procedures who, with misleading authors, keep unsuccessful seekers hopeful. The narrator accuses their followers of losing time, money and health while not knowing where, what or how to seek. The target is credulous pursuit of uncertain gold-making, not every written account or every skilled practice. The work later invites readers to compare other authors and welcomes a better disclosure.
