Latin
Circulationem volatilis Elementi triplici actione & veluti instrumento adimplet Natura, nempe Sublimatione, Demissione, siue Refusione & Decoctione, quae diuerso indigent temperamento. Sic benè ordinata Naturae intentio per varios errans motus opera sua interrupta ad finem propositum dirigit, & per vias oppositas ad eundem scopum tendit.
English
Nature completes the circulation of the volatile element through a threefold action, as though through three instruments: sublimation, descent or pouring back, and decoction, which require different temperings. Thus Nature’s well-ordered intention, ranging through varied motions, directs her interrupted works towards their proposed end and tends towards the same goal by opposite paths.
