Latin

Qui summum ius Universi in Naturam transfert aliam à divinâ Naturâ, Deum negat; neque enim aliud increatum Naturae Numen, aut in producendis, aut in conservandis expansae huius machinae individuis, agnosci fas est, praeter spiritum illum divini opificis, qui primis aquis incubuit, & confusa in chao rerum semina de potentiâ in actum eduxit, educta per constantem alterationis rotam versans componendo & resolvendo haec inferiora Geometricè tractat.

English

Whoever transfers the supreme authority of the universe to a nature other than divine nature denies God. For it is not lawful to acknowledge any other uncreated divinity of nature in either producing or preserving the individual things of this vast fabric than that spirit of the divine maker which brooded over the first waters. It brought the seeds of things, confused in chaos, from potentiality into actuality and, turning what it brought forth through the constant wheel of alteration, governs these lower things geometrically by composing and dissolving them.
