English
By the second method, take as much of your Elixir as you wish, mixed with its own water while preserving the weights. Seal it thoroughly in a vessel of Reduction and dissolve it through burial in a bath. Distil the dissolved matter, successively separating the elements by their own Fires and fixing them below, as was done in the first and second works, until it becomes stone. Finally cerate and project it. This way is longer but richer, for the Elixir’s power is increased a hundredfold: the subtler it becomes through repeated operations, the more of the powers above and below it retains and the more powerfully it acts.
