p. 127XXXIV. To Apollo
fumigation from manna
blending the whole pole, you distinguish the life-nourishing tribes,
having mixed by harmony a share of the whole kosmos for men,
having mixed winter and summer in equal measure for both,
having divided off winter to the hypatai, summer to the netai,
and the Dorian to the seasonable flower of much-loved spring.
From this mortals call you by a name taken from it — lord,
Pan, the two-horned god, sending out the whistlings of the winds;
since you hold the stamping seal of the whole kosmos.
Hear, blessed one, and save the initiates, with suppliant voice.
