Prayer to Musaeus

and you, king of those beneath the earth, greatly pre-eminent daimon;

and Hebe, Eileithyia, and the goodly strength of Herakles,

and the great boon of Dikaiosyne and of Eusebia,

I call on, and the famed Nymphs, and Pan the greatest,

and Hera, blooming consort of aegis-bearing Zeus;

and lovely Mnemosyne, and I summon the holy Mousai,

the nine, and the Charites, and the Horai, and the Year,

and Leto fair-tressed, Theia, and august Dione,

and the Kouretes in arms, the Korybantes, and the Kabeiroi,

and the great Saviours together, imperishable children of Zeus,

and the Idaian gods, and the messenger of the heavenly ones,
