Ancient Greek

LXVI.

LXVI. To Hephaistos

fumigation from frankincense-manna

Every house you hold, every city, all the nations,

and you dwell in the bodies of mortals, rich in blessing, mighty.

Hear, blessed one; I call you to the well-hallowed libations,

that you may come always gentle to those who rejoice in their works.

Stop the raging madness of the unwearying fire,

keeping the burning of nature within our bodies.
