Almighty and eternal God, Father of the heavenly light, from whom all good and perfect gifts descend: we beseech your boundless mercy to let us rightly know your eternal Wisdom, who is always about your throne, through whom all things were created and made and are still governed and preserved. Send her down from your holy heaven and from the throne of your glory, that she may be with us and work with us, for she is mistress of all heavenly and hidden arts and knows and understands all things.
Let her guide us with due measure in all our work, so that through her spirit we may certainly and without error learn the true and right understanding and the unfailing process of the supremely noble art: the wondrous stone of the wise, which you have hidden from the world and reveal only to your elect. Thus may we begin rightly and well this highest work that we undertake here, continue steadfastly in it, finally complete it blessedly, and enjoy it with gladness for eternity. We ask this through your heavenly and eternally founded cornerstone and wondrous stone, Jesus Christ, who with you, O God the Father, and with the Holy Spirit reigns and governs as true God in one inseparable divine being: one three-in-one God, highly praised for eternity. Amen.
