English
From this salt, when it is regenerated by the artist, there arises a glorious and wonderful thing that can sweeten all sharpness and remedy every weakness. It gives health and wealth and, among countless things, is the highest treasure that almighty God wishes to bestow in this present life upon some of his beloved faithful. It is the image of resurrection and immortality. In its being and works the heavenly Father clearly and distinctly reveals to us the knowledge of his great and deep mysteries. In it, as in a mirror, I have seen the image of creation, the division of chaos, the love-seed or outflow of the three principles, and the division of the love-seed into many forms; how the eternal Word became flesh and covered the inward radiance of his glorious light with such a servile garment of human flesh; how he continually walked among the Pharisees and scribes, performed many wonders, and afterwards, because of his humble appearance, was despised, rejected, and spat upon; how he suffered, died, rose with a glorified body, and ascended into heaven; how he afterwards delivered his brothers and friends from sickness and still daily flows into our prepared or believing souls with his light and the sweet tincture of his merit, making everything within them most holy and improving it; and, finally, the Last Judgement and the new world. Great are the works of the Lord; whoever attends to them takes pure delight in them. He has established a remembrance of his wonders, the gracious and merciful Lord. Praise God.
