Commentatio de Pharmaco Catholico in 4to. fol. 14. §. 9. fol. 19. §. 4. fol. 12. §. 5. FINIS.
English
The spirit is the spirit of Saturn, that is, the butter or spirit of antimony. The soul is the sulphur or red tincture, called a vapour or mist; it is indeed a vapour and smoke, but dry, as can be seen in common sulphur. The earth contains tartar or salt, for Bacchus’ seat is the residue in which the salt remains after the sulphur has been drawn from it. As for the property that tartar has in relation to metals, consult the treatise Commentary on the Universal Medicine, in quarto, folio 14, section 9; folio 19, section 4; folio 12, section 5. End.
