Die andern beyde sind auf der Reise von Rostock aus / nach Stockholm / durch Schiffbruch verdorben / da doch alle die andern / so auf dem Schiff / mit dem Leben davon kommen sind.
English
After half a year Thurnheuser publicly performed tinging in the March of Brandenburg. He also successfully treated incurable diseases, deceived people with sophistical processes, went to Italy, and came to a bad end. The Scot was burned by the bishop at Canterbury in England for what the story calls “sodomitical sin,” having first been strangled with a rope. The third, the student from Zwickau, also performed tinging for a time and lived splendidly until at last he fell into debt. A false process was given to the wife of Margrave Johann Friedrich, former administrator and archbishop of Magdeburg. Since the margravine would not provide funding without security, this deceiver persuaded the district treasurer of Weissenfels—who had previously seen him tinging with his own eyes—to stand surety for four thousand reichsthalers. Because the process was false, he had to pay and fell into extreme poverty. The perpetrator was condemned at Dresden to lifelong confinement in irons in the ditch. The other two perished in a shipwreck while travelling from Rostock to Stockholm, although all the others aboard escaped with their lives.
