Candida Phoenix Philosophica: Part II — Chapter 10: Requirements for the Art

186

Answer. As for the first part of this question, the principal requirements are: first, knowledge of Nature; second, knowledge of the matter; third, the process; and fourth, a Christian life. Just as one cannot attain knowledge of the matter without knowledge of Nature, so without knowledge of the matter every process and practice, every effort and labour, is in vain. Without a Christian life, one will reach no successful conclusion.
