Part I — Theorem II
Candida Phoenix Philosophica: Part I — Theorem II
7–8For when water is allowed to putrefy properly, it always deposits an earth. From this we must infallibly conclude that earth was also created from water in the beginning and arose from it. For the Most High and only-wise God, in creating each creature at the beginning, implanted in it at the same time a law and order which it still maintains without interruption or violation. Hence it is rightly said: “Nature preserves her own laws.”
