Part II — Chapter 6: Rainwater as a Subject
Candida Phoenix Philosophica: Part II — Chapter 6: Rainwater as a Subject
126Whatever contains animal, vegetable and mineral nature is a perfect subject.
Rainwater contains animal, vegetable and mineral nature.
Therefore it is a perfect subject.
The major premise is abundantly proved by Hortulanus’s statement itself, and the minor premise by the preceding deduction.
It further follows that, since rainwater is a perfect subject, containing mineral as well as animal and vegetable nature, both a tincture for improving metals and a universal medicine can be prepared from it.
