Part II — Chapter 13: The Controversy Over Light

German & Latin

211

Candida Phoenix Philosophica: Part II — Chapter 13: The Controversy Over Light

211

“The Word that God spoke in creation did not vanish, but became the life of all creatures.” This shows not only that whatever is created through God’s Word is a creature and consequently a substance. One may also rightly argue: if God’s Word became the life of every creature, it became the life of light as well; therefore light has life. Further, if light has life, it has form; if it has form, it too is a substance.
