XXII–XXXI: Powers, Limits and Further Regeneration · Original
Original English
XXX. We with our Divine Master Hermes absolutely affirm, that, Almighty God having, after he had created all things, commanded every one of them to procreate out of its own kind, our Elixirs are not to be produc'd by any of those sophistical ways, as we have fully made appear in these and our precedent Aphorisms, in which we have given ample Instructions for the preparing the Universal Elixir out of our undetermin'd Matter, and the specificated one out of the Root of Vegetables.
Modern English
XXX. With our divine master Hermes, we affirm absolutely that Almighty God, after creating all things, commanded each of them to reproduce after its own kind. Our elixirs cannot therefore be produced by any of those deceptive ways, as we have fully shown in these and our preceding aphorisms. In them we have given ample instructions for preparing the universal elixir from our undetermined matter, and the specified elixir from the root of vegetables.
