XLIV–LXIII: Creation, Separation and the Third Way · Modern English

Original English

XLIV. Our Virgin Milk, or Metallic Water, being brought to a perfect Spirituality, and excellent Diaphanity, is call'd the true Chaos of the Philosophers: for out of that alone, without any addition of any created, or artificially prepar'd thing, we are to prepare and separate all the Elements, which are requir'd to the Formation of our Philosophical Microcosm.

Modern English

XLIV. Our virgin’s milk, or metallic water, when brought to perfect spirituality and excellent transparency, is called the philosophers’ true chaos. From this alone, without adding any created or artificially prepared thing, we must prepare and separate all the elements required to form our philosophical microcosm.
