Historical Definition
Ezezich is salt.
Meaning
The direct identification gives no particular source, preparation or form of salt. It should be preserved at that level of generality unless another passage supplies a qualifier.
Use in the Book
Hal provides the same broad gloss. The Sal entries, by contrast, distinguish salts through their origins or preparation, such as salt extracted from alumen plumosum or dissolved salt. Those more particular descriptions should not be imported into Ezezich simply because the same general material name occurs.
